Thursday Pearls...

"Waiting on God requires the willingness to bear uncertainty, to carry within oneself the unanswered question, lifting the heart to God about it whenever it intrudes upon one's thoughts."

~ Elisabeth Elliot

~

"Wait on the Lord:  be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart:  wait, I say, on the Lord."  ~ Psalm 27:14, KJV

~
Oh, what beautiful words by a truly wise and Godly woman...I love Elisabeth Elliot's writings...they are inspirational and encourage me to a deeper walk with the Lord.

Surely we should wait upon the Lord in every area of our lives?  Perhaps you are waiting on God for a precious babe to fill your heart and home with joy and laughter...or you are pleading with Him to open doors for a work opportunity...maybe you are waiting on the Lord for your husband...
May your hearts be challenged and encouraged today to give your struggles, your heartache, your hopes and your dreams to the One who cares for you...
Wait upon Him and may your heart not grow weary, dear friend.  He is with you; He is walking beside you and He knows...
Surrender to His perfect will and be content with where He has you...  Be of good courage and place your trust in His almighty hand!

  1. Hi Kelly! My name is Anna, and I am twelve (but most people think I'm more like 15/16!) my mum, Dad, older brother and I live in Australia, on a hobby farm with 2 cows, a dog, my brothers sheepdog, lots of chickens and three ducks. (Their names are Snow, Jemima and Jasmine ☺️) We love your blog! It's so encouraging to read posts from you as we strive to live out Gods calling in Biblical femininity! I'd just like to say that the dates are very hard to read, the light pink on light grey! So it's a little difficult to tell old posts from new! By the way, little Caleb Courage is so cute!!
I hope you have a great day!
    Love,

    1. Dear Anna,

Thank you so much for your lovely visit and for your beautiful, encouraging words!

      I am simply delighted to ''meet'' you! It sounds as if we have much in common...{{Smiles}}
How wonderful to live on a hobby farm (I do as well, although it is not ours...someday perhaps if God so wills!) And keep animals! I love the country life and embrace the simplest pleasures...

It is a joy to have you join me on this journey and I hope to hear from you again ~ making a new friend always brings sunshine to my day!

P.S. Many people also think I'm older than I really am...they recjon I'm 21 or 22 when in actual fact I'm only 19!

Blessings and love to you...oh, and thank you, I will change the font colouring!
      Hugs,
      Kelly-Anne

  6. Oh, Kelly-Anne, what a beautiful quote from Elisabeth Elliot, a woman of God who held strong to her faith in God in the midst of what was a horror losing her beloved husband. She is an example of a woman who had the willingness to wait on the Lord. Oh, may we all yearn for His will and timing in our lives in every area. So glad to see this new blog, dear friend, and you continue to bless me and many others! Sending hugs and love! xoxo

  7. Kelly-Anne,
Dear friend what a true joy and encouragement is this post. In a time when some many of us are waiting on the Lord, perhaps more than ever, on something specific. I can think of so many I know waiting on answers to something from the Lord, including myself and people in my family. What a stronghold our precious God is to still our restless hearts when we are weak.
I think your following words were penned especially beautifully and resonated in my heart: "Wait upon Him and may your heart not grow weary, dear friend. He is with you; He is walking beside you and He knows..." How perfectly said, a true comfort.

I hope you are having a blessed and joyous Lord's Day, Kelly-Anne! I also wanted to take a moment to thank you so much and tell you how delighted I was to read the comments you left earlier this week- what a blessing to read your words♥ It blessed me so to read your kind words and for you to say that I had been on your mind- so have you, dear friend! And how much I would LOVE to take you with me to the antique mall next time, oh what fun we'd have! Thank you for all of your kind thoughts and words♥

May you have a joyful and blessed day!

    Many hugs to you,
    Jazzmin
