For the Beauty...

For the beauty of the earth,
For the beauty of the skies,
For the love which from our birth
Over and around us lies,
Lord of all, to thee we raise
This our grateful hymn of praise.
 ~  Folliott S. Pierpoint

One Saturday morning, not too long ago, we decided upon a simple picnic at the Botanical Gardens…

What a delightful time in the Lord’s marvelous creation it was!
In the chaos of the last while, we had quite forgotten that Spring had in fact arrived in all her splendour…

What a sweet blessing it was to bask in the glory of the new life surrounding us…

...Cheerful yellow Weavers weaving their precarious looking nests…

Beautiful buds…

And of course, happy children delighting in the beauty of their Master’s handiwork!

Of course I took my ever faithful camera along and enjoyed a slow-paced walk around the gardens, capturing bits of beauty and splendour through my lens…{{smiles}}

How good it was to be reminded that we serve a majestic and powerful God who takes delight in beauty and loves to see His precious children glorying in the beautiful earth He lovingly created for them…
 Blessings and joy in Christ,
Kelly-Anne

  2. Oh, Kelly-Anne! How delightful this post was, and the beauty you captured is exquisite! Botanical gardens are so fun...I went once on a field trip when I was 7 and loved seeing all the different plants and flowers and little creatures hiding in all the vines and bushes. Spring sure has given you some lovely things to enjoy and look upon.

I loved seeing your siblings, too! Caleb is getting around, isn't he? I'm sure he keeps you all on your toes! But I know it's loads of fun, too {{smiles}} And all the girls look so lovely....little ladies!

It was such a joy to find this post in my feed this morning and a perfect way to begin a Sunday! That hymn at the top is a favorite of mine, though I haven't heard it in a very long time. Thank you for reminding me of it ♥

I received your lovely email, too, and will be responding within the next day or so! Thinking of you all and sending much love to all the Grays!

  4. This looks like a beautiful day, my friend! :) The weavers make a lovely nest. It's interesting to see how Caleb is growing in resemblance to Sofia, I think? :)
