Last week I was delighted to have a whole week off...
A whole week of not having to be anywhere at a certain time or do anything beyond a few household tasks.
It was bliss.
One overcast morning, I drove my my mom and three younger siblings, to the tiny ocean town where we spent our happiest month last year.
Tergniet holds a special place in my heart, as it was where we lived for a month after my family got back from the year they spent in China.
Although it was the middle of winter, we had glorious weather and really made the most of the little seaside holiday the Lord miraculously provided for us.
While living in Tergniet, we met the sweetest older lady who lives across the way from where we were staying, and we struck up a lovely friendship with her...
She is one of the most inspiring ladies I have ever met and a joy to be around.
She also adores the little children and makes such an effort to connect with each of them; something so rare among older people.
So, one overcast morning we decided to take a drive through and pay her a visit...
And of course we had to go for a walk on the beach, although we had to cut it short as it was pretty stormy that day...
^A hidden gem, Tergniet
^I love how clean and untouched this little piece of coast is.
^The perfect spot for a walk...
^...And for dipping your toes in the salt water!
^Always wonderful getting to spend time with my little buddy!
It was such a special morning, and I loved being able to spend this time with some of my younger siblings, my mom and our sweet friend.
May the rest of your week be lovely...
May the rest of your week be lovely...
With love,
What a lovely spot, Kelly-Anne! I would like to walk down that quiet beach right now myself....how nice you had time just for your family and enjoying being together. It is so refreshing when those opportunities come along. As always thank you for sharing and for the beautiful photos. Blessings from Ashleigh

DeleteA hidden gem, indeed, my friend! What lovely photos and such a peacefulness they hold. Oh, I'd love to ramble along the beach right about now...it's been too long since I've been to the sea and my heart is longing for a visit...to smell the salty, fresh air and to hear the waves crashing. I'm so glad you all got to spend an enjoyable day together. It sounds like the day was a blessed one!
ReplyDeleteSending much love, dear friend! ♥
Sweet friend, always a joy to have you stop by! I was so excited to share these photographs of my favourite little spot along the coast!

Dear Marion and Marilyn, thank you for your visit and kind words!
DeleteYes indeed, these little ones are growing so quickly...a reminder I need to spend all the time I can making memories with them!
What fun the kids had at the ocean. You know, Jess lives about five minutes from the ocean, and she visits there often. I have been longing to see the ocean, so your pictures were a treat for me. How nice that you met a sweet old lady who lives nearby. Sometimes the friendships we make along the way can be so meaningful. These pictures made me smile this morning, Kelly-Anne. Thank you for sharing them. : )
