“I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner
one tires of any thing than of a book! When I have a house of my
own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.”

Hello lovely friends and happy almost last day of the beautiful month of February!
Today I am sharing a post on one of my favourite topics over at dear Elizabeth's blog, Ponderings from the Inglenook.♥
You can read my post by clicking here.♥
I would love to have you join me in discussing the joys of reading!
Blessings,
Kelly-Anne
Kelly-Anne I just read your post on Pondering . Yes reading can take you to places you have never been to or can dream of visiting. Growing up our dad would read to my twin (Marilyn] and me from a book of fairy tales. He also read from this book to our older sister while she was growing up. Mom was a voracious reader. Joan our sister had a large collection of books which we all shared.

Oh, so lovely to have you visit today, Marion! I loved hearing how your dad read to and how your sister shared her books with you! What special memories...
DeleteBlessings to you!
I love to read. I enjoy mostly all types of books. I also read children's books from time to time. Right now I am reading a two part series on Ireland and its fight for freedom. The Amish books are also a favorite as are historical novels and non fiction history. I also like to read a mystery once in a while as well as a biography. Kelly-Anne enjoy your books and reading time.

DeleteThinking of you and sending much love your way!
I inherited my love of reading from my grandfather who had TONS of books. I remember regular trips to to our library. My favourite classics included Little Women, Anne of Green Gables, Emily of New Moon. I also enjoyed the "modern" series of Nancy Drew, Baby-Sitters Club, etc.
ReplyDeleteHello Margie and thank you for visiting today! I remember the book-themed baby shower that you hosted some years back and wrote about on your blog. So gorgeous!
DeleteLoved hearing about your favourite books (some of my favourites too!) and how your grandfather inspired your love of reading!
Have a great week further!
