Hello dear readers and a blessed Wednesday to you.
I do hope that your week has been a lovely one thus far?
Mine has been filled with plenty of gardening, organising, and even a quick trip to the local nursery for compost and a few punnets of cheery violas.
~
Today I am delighted to be sharing (lots) pictures from Gabrielle's celebratory birthday luncheon...
This sweet sister is now thirteen years old.
When I began my blogging journey in 2009, she was barely two...
Back then she was my little buddy - she followed me everywhere, and wanted to be just like her older sister - we even shared a room.
I feel truly blessed that we have maintained that close relationship, and still love doing things together! ♥
The birthday celebrations may have been quite simple, but the day was still so special...
Beth sewed a beautiful skirt for Gabrielle (which she is wearing in all these photographs), Nancy made lovely crocheted heart bunting to match Gabrielle's bedroom decor...the little ones gave her a new diary and colourful pens, and I told her I would get her started with a blog of her own, something she has been dreaming about for a long time.
You can now visit Gabrielle over at An Old Fashioned Girl. ♥
While Gabrielle spent some time sewing with Mom, the girls and I baked some delicious eats, and decorated the party table while listening to beautiful soundtracks.
It was quite festive in the kitchen that morning. {{smiles}}
^Of course we had to use our prettiest tea sets for the occasion...
^The delicious orange, almond and polenta cake Gabrielle requested...this cake is gluten-free.
I will be sharing the recipe next week. ♥
^I baked these little vegetable quiches the day before and served them with fresh basil.
^Nancy baked these gorgeous mini orange and dark chocolate eclairs and served them on a mirror.
^Gabrielle and Caleb, ready for the festivities to commence!
♥
^Gabrielle with Sofia. How special our whole family could spend this time celebrating together.
^Gabrielle was so thankful Dad could be here for her birthday.
^Let the celebrations begin! Rebekah sipping a cup of tea.
^The lovely birthday girl.
^Hmmm...♥
After tea we decided to take some family photographs in the front garden.
It may not have been the prettiest location for pictures, but they still came out quite nicely...can't wait to have a few printed once lockdown restrictions are lifted.
^Mom and Dad with Gabrielle.
^Gabrielle with Mom and Caleb.
^Beth and Gabrielle.
^Gabrielle with Nancy
^Rebekah and Gabrielle
^Mom and Gabrielle.
^Dad and Sofia.
^The Gray children - Caleb (3), Sofia (8), Rebekah (10), Gabrielle (13), Beth (15), Nancy (20) and yours truly.
^Mom and her older girls. ♥
What a beautiful day of celebrating Gabrielle's life and the blessing of family.

Have a beautiful week further, sweet friends.
Blessings,
~ Kelly-Anne ~

Hi Kelly-Anne,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful celebration for Gabrielle's thirteenth birthday. Everything looks beautifully done. Love all the photos. I'm intrigued by the cake as I've never had polenta of any kind. I must try it.
Thank you for sharing!
I'll just pop on over to Gabrielle's blog now...
Dear Toni, I so appreciate you taking the time to leave me a sweet note! ♥ And Gabrielle was beyond thrilled to have you visit her blog - thank you!

ReplyDeleteMarion
Aww, thank you, Marion...I feel so blessed to have such a loving family around me. This was such a lovely day...we made some sweet memories!
DeleteHope you are doing well...thinking of you! ♥
Such sweet pictures! You have a beautiful family and you are so blessed to have so many siblings! My husband is one of seventeen...yes, SEVENTEEN! I myself have one older brother who is 18 months older than me. I remember growing up wishing I had more siblings now I have more "siblings-in-law" than I can count! ;)
ReplyDeleteTlhat ittle tea cup and saucer are so pretty! It makes me want to pull some of my little tea cup collection out of storage. We live in a VERY small house right now so I have to pick and choose what I bring out. I bet I could find a spot for at least one little tea cup and saucer. :)
Dear Annie,
DeleteOh, so lovely to have you visit! Thank you for your sweet note! ♥
How special to be part of such a big family...and what a blessing for you to now have so many "siblings-in-law"!! I must say, now that we are a bit older, we are realising just how wonderful it is having siblings to share life with!
Aww, I do hope you are able to find a gap for a teacup and saucer somewhere in your little place!
Oh, I am so glad we "met" - I love hearing from you, and your blog is a sweet encouragement to me! ♥
Blessings!
Thank You Kelly-Anne for sharing Gabrielle's lovely birthday. You have such a beautiful family. I always enjoy seeing and hearing about your siblings. Stay well and safe. God Bless you and yours.

Happy belated birthday to Gabriella! Love everything about this post: the pretty teacups, yummy foods, and beautiful family photos! Your siblings are growing up so quickly!
ReplyDeleteHello Margie, ♥
DeleteI am sorry to only be getting back to you now... We had another birthday in the family to prepare for! Little Caleb celebrated his fourth birthday yesterday with a Zorro themed party...going to post pictures a little later. It is so strange having to plan a boyish party...no pink, frills or teacups! {{smiles}}
Happy last day of April!
Thank you for sharing such happy and special moments.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthay to Gabrielle. You have a beautiful family and I wish you all a world of joy and happiness.
I loved your blog, my congratulations.
Greetings and all the best

Happy Birthday Gabrielle. What a wonderful birthday celebration, Kelley-Anne. All the food looks scrumptious. These pictures are so special, and what a treasured photo of all of you together. The orange and chocolate eclairs look Yummy, and I smiled when I saw them because they remind me of my mom - she loved eclairs. It was nice that you used your special tea cups for the occasion. I can't believe Gabrielle was two when you first started blogging, and now she's 13!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are heartwarming, and really show the love and joy you all felt that day. Time spent with family is truly a blessing.
