Hello dear readers and a blessings to you on this beautiful day in March.
Autumn is quickly approaching our corner of the world; there is a distinct crispness in the air, the days are shorter, and crinkly red and brown leaves are beginning to adorn the trees.
What a delightful summer we had... busy, but filled with sweet moments and good things.
Just this week I was pondering the rich blessings the Lord has poured down upon our family.
How thankful I am for the life He has given me - I am fulfilled and truly happy in this beautiful season the Lord placed me in.
As you probably already know, the beginning of February saw me start a new job.
I am still an au pair, but instead of taking care of one little baby during the day, I now assist a sweet homeschooling mother with her five young children.
While this new position is certainly a lot more challenging, I love the constant stimulation, and after a full month with this family, I feel like I am starting to belong.
And as I only work mornings, I have a lot more time to devote to other interests such as my garden and reading, and being more available to help my mom in the home and with my younger siblings.
Of
course, having Dad home with us still is a wonderful blessing, even though he
is working online during the day.
At this stage, no definite date has
been given for his return.
My heart is heavy as I think of the people suffering and struggling in China.
Before I bring this post to a close, I must tell you that after months of hard work, dreaming and research, I finally purchased my new camera.
My Canon 80D is now my new best friend, and I am enjoying figuring out how to use it to its full potential.
I am hoping to purchase a new laptop at the end of the month which will support the editing program I want to use. Little by little I am building up my kit and learning as much as I can along the way.
Life has assumed a somewhat gentler pace and work and leisure feels a little more balanced.
My favourite way to end the day is to retreat to my room, light a scented candle and sip a cup of chamomile tea while reading a chapter or two from my book...
Simple moments like these are sweet indeed.
What is happening in your corner of the world, dear readers? ♥
With love,
Kelly-Anne

I'm always impressed how you capture great photographs of your siblings. When I try to take a picture of my 4-year-old godson (who doesn't like to get photographed), it usually ends up blurry.
ReplyDeleteAww, thank you for your sweet visit, Margie! I always love hearing from you!
DeleteHappy Wednesday, dear Kelly-Anne!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful, chatty sort of post this was...almost as wonderful as a real-life conversation would be! {{smiles}}
How I enjoyed reading all about the happenings in your home and life recently. And such lovely pictures too! I hope Autumn is a beautiful season for you. Spring is slowly inching her way closer each day...yesterday, mom and I were in the yard and we spotted a few more daffodils, some periwinkle and grape hyacinth. Oh it is beyond wonderful to see bursts of color popping up again! Soon everything will be green and growing wildly and I can't wait!
Thinking of you...I'll write soon! Lots of love~ ♥
Hello lovely friend...oh, how splendid a real, in person conversation would be! Still dreaming and praying it will happen someday!
DeleteOh my, just when we thought Autumn had come to stay, Summer decided to give us a crazy 38 degree C day as a parting gift!
I love hearing of the changes you are noticing in your backyard...wish I could come by for a stroll around your garden!
Sending love and hugs!
Beautiful little women and a little boy: really a very nice picture!

Oh, thank you, Franca! Always love having you visit!
DeleteHow exciting to have a new camera to play with! Are you using Lightroom to edit your photos? I love that program, it has been a game-changer for me. Your pictures are amazing, and I am excited about this new venture for you! Your pictures are always incredibly beautiful! So thankful your dad is with you, and we are praying for the people of China as well, and all over the world as this C-virus spreads. Much love to you sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteHello dear Marilyn...oh, it is always so wonderful having you stop by! Thank you for taking the time to leave me a note too! ♥
DeleteI am having the most delightful time with my new camera...it is as if a whole new world has opened up to me...and I plan to (finally) buy Lightroom once I have been able to purchase a new laptop, which I hope to do at the end of April. I am so excited! Thinking of you and sending love your way!
I love your wonderful photos, Kelly-Anne. They are always so sweet of the little ones. Oh, you got your new camera! I smiled when you said it was your new best friend because I also have a Canon, and I've always called my camera my best friend. It seems to go with me wherever I go. : ) A candle, a book, and a cup of chamomile tea sounds perfect. Enjoy these sweet moments while you can, Kelly-Anne.
